Looking to get creative, now days are getting longer? Why not use a half-day course as a taster to make something for the garden or indoors and find out whether you’d like to weave something bigger next.
During this course, you will get familiar with hedgerow and willow, using some ancient basket weaving techniques. Make a gift for a loved one, or treat yourself and enjoy it for many years to come.
Basketry is very therapeutic. You can spend a fantastic morning or afternoon with friends, but it’s also really great, being with like-minded people you’ve not met before.
Over the years, people with disabilities, or who had arthritis, were still able to take part. Not quite sure about your abilities, then just get in touch and together we will assess and decide whether it’s for you.
I try to organise the courses in rural locations; on smallholdings and forest school areas, for instance, so we have the full benefit of nature around us to fully reconnect and rewild.
Please contact me prior to booking, if you feel your course may need to be tweaked to your abilities, or if you’d like a more tailored experience.
There is a maximum of six and a minimum of three participants per course. Should the minimum not have been reached, then you will be emailed.
