Description
Course Date: Of your Choice
Location: Of your Choice
This is a talk on a day and at a location of your choice. This could be a weekday or concern a weekend, but could also be one evening. I will be talking about basketry and its history, cultivation, preparation, a typical day/year in the workshop or at fairs and markets, materials and their benefits to nature as well as use, therapeutic effects of basket weaving, promotion of the craft and basketry schools.
As well as talking, I will be playing a slide show, and will be weaving/demonstrating the craft. For the best experience, your audience will be sitting around me and will be able to watch closely what I’m doing, which I will also explain. I will start and finish a small project. After the talk, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and buy baskets that I will be bringing along.
